A child’s first year of school is one of the most critical ones. Students who learn a lot in preschool will have a strong start in kindergarten, and then an even stronger start in elementary school.

While we are happily in back-to-school mode at Apple Montessori Schools, we want to share the highlights of our campers’ awesome adventures at Summer Camp.

Whether it’s their first time going to school or they’re coming back after summer break, the first day of school can be a little difficult for children. As parents, we want to do whatever we can to alleviate their first day jitters.

Every parent of a pre-K student faces a major decision: choosing the best kindergarten program for their child.

We know how important the early stages of development, and the transition between them, are to you and your child. At Apple Montessori Schools, we understand that it’s natural for parents to be uncertain or apprehensive about their child’s transition from one program to another, such as from infant care to toddler care.

Choosing a preschool and kindergarten program for our children can be a little nerve-wracking (to put it mildly). We want to give them a great start on their education while also making sure they’re learning in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.

Helping children discover and develop their cosmic task is one of the four cornerstones of Apple Montessori’s educational philosophy. Of the four, it’s the one that usually requires more explanation. If you’re not immersed in the world of Montessori, you’re probably not used to thinking about a child’s education as cosmic or even sure what it could mean.
