Apple Montessori Schools is pleased to share that we have recently implemented the iReady literacy program as a pilot effort at our Woodbridge Avenue and Mahwah Schools. iReady is an evidence-based instruction and assessment tool that equips educators with the resources they need to drive student success and outcomes.
Our Parent Association in Wayne is currently collecting donations in support of those affected by Hurricanes Helene & Milton. If you're interested in donating, please send items in by October 23. Thank you for your generosity!
We are pleased to share that beginning this fall, and to kick off the 2024-25 academic year at Apple, our network of accredited modern Montessori Schools across New Jersey will increase from 18 to 20 locations, as new schools in Princeton and Westfield are coming on board!
Apple Montessori Schools will be opening its newest school location in Hillsborough at 302 South Branch Road on November 1st. This new school will serve children 6 weeks through 6 years.
After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Apple Community united to support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Through a Spring Olympic Day fundraiser, they were able to raise $10,344.00 for a lifetime amount of $202,540.12 raised in donations since 2011. Families at each of Apple Montessori’s schools in Cliffside Park, Edgewater, Edison, Hoboken, Kinnelon, Mahwah, Metuchen, Morris Plains, Oakland, Randolph, Towaco, Warren, and Wayne contributed to this important cause.
Kinnelon, NJ – On Tuesday, June 29th, friends, family, and colleagues gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Rex Bailey. As a two-term public School Board President for the Kinnelon Board of Education, Mr. Bailey was a pillar of the community, and continued his passion of setting high standards for all levels of education by co-founding Apple Montessori Schools, one of the first Montessori schools in northern New Jersey, with his wife, Jane Bailey in 1972.
On September 21st, in celebration of International Day of Peace, Apple Montessori Schools’ more than 1,200 teachers, co-teachers, and students gathered virtually via Zoom and from their respective classrooms to sing, “Light a Candle for Peace.” Not did this beautiful moment give us the chance to reinforce Apple’s mission of fostering community, but the lessons of this day also build upon our curriculum of creating socially responsible citizens through peace education.
Apple Montessori Schools will be joining people worldwide to honor the United Nations’ International Day of Peace, September 21, during its “Peace Week” celebrations and peace-inspired activities, culminating on Friday, September 20.
This award is in recognition of the school’s essential role in the community and in the lives of their students.
