At Apple Montessori Schools, our mission extends beyond academic excellence. We are committed to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—and empowering students to make a meaningful difference in the world. In December 2024, we proudly continued one of our most cherished traditions: our Annual Apple Olympics fundraiser to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the New York Metro Area.

We are honored to share that, since 2011, the Apple family has raised $228,347 for RMHC. This remarkable achievement reflects the compassion, generosity, and unity of our school community. Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a vital service—offering housing and support for families while their child receives long-term medical care—allowing parents to focus solely on their child's well-being.

A School-Wide Celebration for a Cause

In December 2024, Apple Montessori locations across New Jersey united for the 12th Annual Apple Olympics, a joyful day of community, activity, and purpose. Nearly 600 staff members and close to 2,000 students participated in events like relay races, obstacle courses, and beanbag tosses. The energy and excitement of the day were matched only by its heartfelt purpose.

Each class proudly wore its assigned team color, and families enjoyed photos and updates from their child's school. The sense of community was palpable and the cause deeply meaningful.

Thanks to the support of our families, staff, and friends, donations poured in through December 2024, culminating in an incredible show of generosity for the children and families served by RMHC.

Giving Back Through Action and Example

This year’s contribution brings our lifetime total to over $228,000. Every Apple Montessori location—from Cliffside Park to Westfield, Mahwah to Mount Laurel—played a role in making this possible. The Annual Apple Olympics not only raises funds, but instills in our students the value of compassion in action.

“We are so grateful for the generosity shown by our friends at Apple Montessori Schools,” said Matt Campo, CEO of RMHC New York Metro. “Our programs would not be possible without the help of our community.”

Instilling a Lifelong Love of Service

At Apple Montessori, education means more than acquiring knowledge; it means growing into kind, capable, and socially responsible individuals. Through our Character Education program and community service initiatives, students learn to lead with kindness, show empathy for others, and understand the value of making a difference.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported the 2024-2025 Apple Olympics! Together, we continue to nurture not only bright minds, but big hearts—and build a brighter future for all.
