Our story begins in Scotland, where Jane Bailey’s passion for Montessori education took root. After immigrating to the United States, she and her husband, Rex Bailey, saw a need for quality early childhood education in New Jersey. Their solution? Open their own school. In 1972, Apple Montessori Schools was born with a single location in Kinnelon. Today, we are a thriving network of 20 schools—and growing—while staying true to our family values and Montessori roots.
