New Year's Resolutions at Apple Montessori Schools
The start of a new year is a time for reflection, intention, and growth for children and adults alike! At Apple Montessori Schools, our resolutions for the new year are about recommitting to the Montessori principles that guide us every day and that help children grow into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.
As we welcome 2026, here's how we plan to grow, learn, and improve.
Sometimes in this post-pandemic world, we lack a sense of community and the connections we all need. At Apple, we are committed to making sure our families, staff, and students feel a connection to one another, in the classroom throughout the day, in the way communicate with parents and guardians, and at events where we come together to enjoy one another's company. As we all know, when a community shares values, it thrives!
Spearheaded by our Education Team, we're working to develop new ways to use our state-of-the-art Outdoor Classroom spaces to ensure they're truly an extension of the Montessori classroom and allowing our students to connect with the outside world in fun and engaging ways.
After opening four new schools since 2024 (Westfield, Princeton, Paramus, & Shrewsbury), Apple will continue to explore opportunities for growth and expansion in 2026 so that we can reach more students with our advanced academics and teaching methodology.
We resolve to continue empowering children to do things for themselves—choosing their work, caring for their environment, and building practical life skills. Independence builds confidence, capability, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Learning should feel joyful and meaningful. This year, we reaffirm our commitment to hands-on, child-led experiences that spark curiosity and encourage children to explore the world at their own pace. Our advanced academics speak for themselves through the success of our students, and our enrichment opportunities (including our new Tinkrworks offering) allow us to offer a rich, well-rounded experience.
We resolve to keep teaching children the importance of caring for their surroundings—fostering responsibility, sustainability, and respect for the natural world.
Great schools start with great teachers. This year, we commit to continued professional growth, collaboration, and reflection to ensure we provide the highest-quality Montessori education. Most recently, we held a professional development day at the end of December, and will hold more training opportunities in 2026.
Every milestone matters. We resolve to notice, honor, and celebrate each child’s unique journey and achievements throughout the year.
At Apple Montessori Schools, our New Year’s resolutions are a promise—to our students, our families, and our community—to continue guiding children with care, purpose, and respect as they grow.
