Professional Development: We are always learning and growing
At Apple Montessori Schools, our professional, dedicated team of teachers and support staff are always working to advance their approach to early education.
Teaching the art of grace, courtesy, respectfulness, and kindness
Grace and Courtesy is an essential part of the Montessori philosophy. Montessori lessons are designed to promote social harmony. We accomplish this each day in our classrooms as we introduce children to a set of shared values and ideals. Some of these values include grace and courtesy as well as respect and kindness for others.
Getting Your Child Ready for Summer Camp
With little people, change can be big. Children who are attending summer camp for the first time may feel a little nervous, and even those transitioning from our school to summer schedule may need some time to adjust. Apple Montessori Schools’ summer program has been perfected over 45 years to engage campers ages 2-12 with the right mix of jam-packed summer fun and engaging STEAM learning. Campers enjoy age-appropriate activities and adventures like daily swim lessons, FasTracKids, Junior Scientists, Tech Time, Creative Kids, Young Chefs, field trips, in-house events, theme weeks and much more.
Celebrate Earth Day With Outdoor Learning
As research and field experience proves, children need and thrive from more time outdoors. Studies show that children who learn and play outside are happier, more attentive, less anxious, and enjoy learning more than those who spend more time indoors. Time spent in nature is critical for a child’s health, self-development, well-being, and future academic success.

Apple Montessori’s one-of-a-kind approach to the Montessori method is unique from other schools for many reasons. What we provide can be summed up in a quote by Dr. Montessori herself, “The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.”

The Importance of Health & Safety at Apple Montessori Schools
Sending your baby off to school is both exciting and worrying. It’s exciting because they’re off to a brand new experience of learning, socializing, and having fun! Yet, many parents also feel anxious. It’s normal for your mind to fill with questions such as “Will my child make friends? Will they be safe? Will they get sick at school?” and many more. A top concern for parents is the health and safety of their children. Naturally, parents strive to ensure their children’s well-being by keeping them safe and healthy.
Building Community: An Essential Feature of an Apple Montessori Classroom
The value of building a supportive community has been an essential feature of the Montessori child development and education philosophy since its inception. Dr. Maria Montessori, founder of the Montessori philosophy more than 100 years ago, called her early childhood classrooms ‘Children’s Houses.’ She believed the classroom is a place where children develop a sense of belonging and responsibility for themselves and others. The classroom represents a welcoming, secure environment where children are free to explore and concentrate on activities of their choice while learning to become respectful, purposeful members of their community.
