Apple Montessori, a trusted leader in early childhood education since 1972, has announced the expansion of its leadership team with the addition of three seasoned educators at its Wayne location, which offers programs from 6 weeks to 12 years, including infant, toddler, preschool and elementary. Apple Montessori Wayne’s new Head of School, Assistant Director, and Director of Education bring a diverse set of professional backgrounds to the school, with decades of combined educational experience. With a focus on nurturing a strong academic foundation and a lifelong love of learning, the new leadership team will continue to guide the school’s mission and support the families of Wayne.
Apple Montessori Wayne’s leadership team now includes:
Sandra Giordano, Head of School - A seasoned educator and school leader with well over a decade of experience in early childhood and elementary education. Giordano has devoted her career to inspiring children through curiosity and imagination, emphasizing experiential learning, the arts, and STEAM. Joining the Apple Montessori Schools family earlier this year, Giordano previously served as a charter school principal, overseeing curriculum innovation and social-emotional wellness initiatives.
Margarita Baisiev, Director of Education - A veteran of the Apple Montessori family for nearly two decades, Baisiev began her journey with Apple as a teacher’s assistant. Through multiple years and positions with the organization, Baisiev has developed a deep understanding of the Montessori method. Bringing both experience and passion to Wayne, she will be critical to shaping the school’s curriculum and sustaining educational initiatives that ensure Wayne students are empowered to reach their full potential.
Amy Yun, Assistant Director - A member of the Apple Montessori family since 2022, Yun brings a background in social sciences to her role in Wayne. Yun cares deeply about the community and the joy education inspires, ultimately powering strong relationships with students, their families, and the wider Apple Montessori team. Her work will help drive the Wayne school’s continued focus on academic achievement as well as social and emotional connection.
“It’s exciting to have this dynamic team of proven professionals come together at our Wayne location,” said Andrea Vargas, CEO of Apple Montessori Schools. “Along with their individual experience and achievements, their combined enthusiasm and commitment to academic success will deliver a tremendous benefit to both our educational programs and our community of families.”
Under its new leadership team, Apple Montessori Wayne has seen renewed energy across classrooms and the school community. Families have shared overwhelmingly positive feedback about the engaging learning environment, strong communication, and the school’s dedication to each child’s success. Like all of its schools, Apple Montessori Wayne believes education isn’t just about academics, but preparing children for life. Its consistent Montessori philosophy emphasizes developing the whole child intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, and ethically in a safe, nurturing environment.
The school offers a range of enriching programs that blend Montessori principles with modern advancements, including a STEAM curriculum, yoga and mindfulness, and music and art education. Serving children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, Apple Montessori Wayne currently has limited enrollment openings for the upcoming school year. Families interested in learning more are encouraged to schedule a tour.
