Elementary Students Showcase History and Science Projects at Apple Montessori
Elementary students at Apple Montessori Schools in Wayne recently presented a series of interdisciplinary projects highlighting their learning across history, geography, and science.
Students shared posters, artifacts, and research presentations exploring topics such as the Fourth of July, the Battle of Gettysburg, and United States geography, including studies of states like Arizona, Florida, and Rhode Island. Global geography projects focused on countries including England, Turkey, and Ireland.
Several projects connected directly to local history through student research on General Anthony Wayne, whose legacy is closely tied to the township. Additional studies included Native American history, with a focus on the Comanche tribe, and space exploration research examining early missions such as Apollo 2.
The students' projects reflect a hands-on approach to learning that encourages critical thinking and curiosity.
