At Apple Montessori Schools, education extends far beyond the classroom. Through meaningful experiences rooted in compassion, community, and service, we strive to help children understand the importance of giving back and caring for others. One of the most powerful examples of this each year is our annual Olympic Day fundraiser in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities.

This year, our Apple Montessori community came together once again in an incredible way, raising $15,380 to support families in need. Even more inspiring, this brings our lifetime fundraising total since 2011 to an extraordinary $242,727.

What began over a decade ago as a meaningful way to combine movement, teamwork, and philanthropy has grown into a cherished Apple tradition. RMHC Olympic Day is more than just a day of games and activities—it is an opportunity for children to experience firsthand what it means to help others.

Throughout the event, students in all 21 of our schools participated in Olympic-themed activities that encouraged teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and community spirit. At the same time, families, staff, and local communities rallied together to support a cause that provides comfort, care, and essential resources to families with hospitalized children.

In true Montessori fashion, the experience also served as a powerful lesson in grace & courtesy, empathy, and global citizenship. Children learn that even at a young age, their actions can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Through acts of service and community involvement, they begin to understand the importance of compassion, generosity, and human connection.

We are deeply grateful to our students, families, and staff who helped make this year’s fundraiser such a success! Every donation, every shared event, and every act of participation contributed to something much larger than a single day.

As we celebrate surpassing nearly a quarter of a million dollars raised since 2011, we are reminded of the incredible impact a united community can have. Together, we are helping families feel supported during some of life’s most difficult moments and teaching our children that caring for others is one of the greatest victories of all.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for continuing to help us make a difference.
